This Week’s Highlights

Tuesday Speaker: Mr. Juergen Kracht
Topic: Business Implications of the Greater Bay Area

Fiducia Management Consultants was founded by Juergen Kracht in 1982. As
both a German national and management consultant with over 40 years of
experience in China trade and investment, Juergen develops and maintains
Fiducia’s most senior client relationships. He has been an Investment
Promotion Ambassador for the Hong Kong Government since September 2004
and an honorary advisor to the Management Consultancies Association of
Hong Kong since 2015.

In
his speech, Juergen shared with us his rich experience in Hong Kong
throughout the decades. He talked in detail about the history,
development, and business implications of the Greater Bay Area, a
project meant to further the integration of Hong Kong and its
neighbouring cities in the Pearl River Delta.

News from the Board

Attendance is an important prerequisite for a functioning and lively Rotary club.

Due
to other obligations, members can sometimes not attend regular meetings
in person. While this should not be the rule, members have the
possibility to make up for meetings they miss, e.g. by attending
meetings of other clubs, including Rotaract clubs, or by participating
in club service projects. The bylaws of our club were amended two years
ago and now state that any significant contribution to a meeting from
which a member is absent shall also be counted as attendance. In special
cases, leave of absence may be granted by the board for a maximum of
twelve months.

Again
I encourage you to participate in our club life. For any questions
concerning your attendance or make-ups, please contact Secretary Martin
S. or Celine.
