Speaker: Lee Weingrad, chair of Surmang Foundation
Topic: The Surmang Foundation and his 30 years of work for mother and child health in Tibet

Lee highlighted the 30 years and 30 visits to Tibet, the partnership agreement with the local government to build a clinic, the need for the clinic in an area that has among the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the world, the results in radically reducing maternal and infant mortality and what the future holds.

The clinic he established has had over 1000 patients per month, all treated for free, including meds, in the past 10 years. The Surmang Clinic has taken an area with one of the highest maternal mortality rates and reduced it to zero in 2012 and kept it near there ever since.

Lunches in December and January
President Russell announced that the lunches on December 26th and January 2nd has been cancelled due to the holidays.

Lunch on January 23rd has been switched to a dinner meeting. No lunch on January 23. Time and location of the dinner will be release soon. Please mark your calendar.
